PROJECT INVESTIGATOR

Zhenpeng Qin, Ph.D.

Zhenpeng Qin is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas, with adjunct appointments in Bioengineering and UT Southwestern Medical Center. He received his PhD and postdoctoral training in Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, respectively, at the University of Minnesota (2009 – 2014). He obtained a BS from Xi’an Jiaotong University (2007) and a MS from the University of Akron (2009). His research program focuses on fundamental biotransport for the brain and diagnostic systems, and developing nanotechnologies to better understand the brain and for infectious disease diagnosis. His lab has received support from NSF, NIH, CPRIT, and American Heart Association (AHA).
